Andaz West Hollywood TO UNVEIL “Rock ‘N’ Roll Lens,” A Look at the past 3o years of music icons

 

West Hollywood, CA(Perfect Music Today) 4/4/16/– – Today, Andaz West Hollywood announces the unveiling of “Rock ‘N’ Roll Lens,” a new photography exhibition showcasing the works of Rock n’ Roll photographer Jimmy Steinfeldt and his most revered work over the last 30 years. The exhibition’s public unveiling reception and benefit will take place on Wednesday, May 25th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Mezzanine at Andaz West Hollywood.

The works will be displayed for a limited time at Andaz West Hollywood as part of the hotel’s rotating art program, Art Seen at Andaz. In a unique opportunity, hotel guests and locals will receive an up-close, immersive look at over a dozen limited edition photographs, which capture music legends on stage and in their element. The collection features rare performance shots of icons such as the late Prince, David Bowie, and living legends including Paul McCartney, Aerosmith, and more. Guests will also receive a chance to learn more about the work and stories behind each shot by the artist himself. First edition signed copies of Steinfeldt’s photographic book “Rock ‘N’ Roll Lens: 30 Years of Music Photography and Stories” will be available for purchase at the event for a discounted price with partial proceeds benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“Andaz West Hollywood has a long and colorful history of rock legends passing through our doors,” said General Manager Tim Meyer. “Working with Jimmy Steinfeldt on this exhibition is a way for us to immortalize these legends and send our respects to the greats such as Prince and David Bowie, who have had such a profound affect on the music scene here on The Sunset Strip and all over Los Angeles. The debut of “Rock ‘N’ Roll Lens” will take place on Wednesday, May 25th with a special reception from 7-9 PM at the Mezzanine at Andaz West Hollywood. The reception is open to guests, friends, and neighbors and will feature a live DJ set. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served.
