Christopher<\/b> “Chris<\/b>” Hillman<\/b> (born December 4, 1944) is an American musician. He was one of the original members of The Byrds<\/a>, which in 1965 included Roger McGuinn<\/a>, Gene Clark<\/a>,David Crosby<\/a> and Michael Clarke<\/a>. With frequent collaborator Gram Parsons<\/a>, Hillman was a key figure in the development of country rock<\/a>, defining the genre through his work with The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers<\/a>, Manassas<\/a> and the country-rock group Desert Rose Band<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Herb Pedersen<\/b>\u00a0often performs with Chris Hillman<\/a>, and both were once members of the Desert Rose Band<\/a>.[1]<\/a><\/sup> Pedersen also fronted his own band called the Laurel Canyon Ramblers. Besides this, Pedersen has also worked with the following musicians and groups: Mudcrutch<\/a>, Pine Valley Boys, Michael Martin Murphey<\/a>, Earl Scruggs<\/a>, The Dillards<\/a>, Smokey Grass Boys, The New Kentucky Colonels<\/a>, Old and in the Way<\/a>, David Grisman<\/a>, Peter Rowan<\/a>, Vassar Clements<\/a>, Gram Parsons<\/a>, Emmylou Harris<\/a>, Skip Battin<\/a>, Tony Rice<\/a>, Dan Fogelberg<\/a>, Stephen Stills<\/a>, Linda Ronstadt<\/a>, Kris Kristofferson<\/a>, John Prine<\/a>, Jackson Browne<\/a>, John Denver<\/a>, John Jorgenson<\/a>, and Leland Sklar<\/a>, among others.[2]<\/a><\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n
