MEMPHIS, Tenn.<\/strong>(Perfect Music Today) 10\/30\/20\/–\u00a0\u2013 <\/strong>Last night the biggest names in music, movies, sports, television and politics came together to celebrate the birthday of one of the founding fathers of Rock n\u2019 Roll Jerry Lee Lewis<\/strong>. Whole Lotta Celebratin\u2019 Goin\u2019 On: 85 Years of The Killer<\/strong><\/em>, hosted by actor John Stamos<\/strong>, also featured a special moment, the first time in nearly forty years that Lewis has been in the same room with his famous cousins, country legend Mickey Gilley<\/strong> and iconic televangelist Jimmy Swaggart<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With a healthy mix of well-wishes and performances of Jerry Lee\u2019s hits, the night was all about The Killer. Elton John, Keith Richards, Kris Kristofferson and Ringo Starr were among the many to offer their birthday greetings. Notable performances included Chris Janson singing \u201cWild One\u201d<\/a>, Linda Gail Lewis singing \u201cBoogie Woogie Country Man,\u201d<\/a> Willie Nelson singing \u201cYou Win Again,\u201d Andy Grammar singing \u201cGreat Balls Of Fire,\u201d and John Fogerty singing \u201cWhole Lotta Shakin\u2019 Goin\u2019 On.\u201d The famous cousins even contributed their voices as well with Mickey Gilley performing his hit \u201cDon\u2019t The Girls All Get Prettier\u201d<\/a> and Jimmy Swaggart giving his rendition of \u201cAmazing Grace.\u201d Rising country artist Jacob Tolliver performed an astounding \u201cRockin\u2019 My Life Away.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

The evening was dedicated to the memory of Jerry Lee Lewis\u2019 late friend and confidant, Steve Bing, and celebrated him with a montage of clips from the \u201cLast Man Standing\u201d television special.<\/p>\n

Whole Lotta Celebratin\u2019 Goin\u2019 On: 85 Years of The Killer<\/em> raised funds for World Vision<\/a>, a Christian organization working to help communities lift themselves out of poverty. For good. The event\u00a0was produced and directed by Zach Farnum \/ 117 Entertainment in association with Jeff Franklin and Tisha Fein.<\/p>\n

About Jerry Lee Lewis<\/strong><\/u>
\nJerry Lee Lewis<\/strong> is one of the all-time best singer-songwriters, musicians and pianists. He was born in 1935 to Mamie and Elmo Lewis of Ferriday, Louisiana.
