HOLLYWOOD (Perfect Music Today) 9\/21\/20\/-We were saddened to hear the news of Roy Head\u2019s passing.\u00a0 He was a genuine Texas rock \u2019n\u2019 soul phenomenon who had been one of our early.. \u00a0and continuing inspirations.<\/div>\n

Of course, everybody loved his hit \u201cTreat Her Right\u201d and we were delighted when word got back that he was happy about the version we included in our\u00a0Perfectamundo\u00a0<\/i>album.\u00a0 Talk about validation!<\/div>\n
What\u2019s perhaps a bit less well known is the fact that ZZ Top\u2019s \u201cTush\u201d partially appropriated its title from one of his b-sides.\u00a0 The follow up to \u201cTreat Her Right\u201d was \u201cYou\u2019re Almost Tuff\u201d and the flip side was a blazing blues-rock instrumental titled \u201cTush Hog,\u201d attributed to the Roy Head Trio.<\/div>\n
