DONNY OSMOND TO LAUNCH THE SEASON<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Cerritos,CA(Perfect Music Today)6\/29\/15\/–Pop legend , Donny Osmond will be the opening attraction at the Cerritos Center for \u00a0the Performing Arts when the new season opens on Saturday September 19th. That\u00a0week will be a big one for the Center with Neil Sedaka on September 20th,<\/sup> and the\u00a0amazing Isley Brothers on September 26th<\/sup>. That is a rare southern California appearance\u00a0for the soul legends, who will be playing their brilliant roster of hits. If you are into\u00a0soul you must also catch Mavis Staples on October 3rd<\/sup> and the timeless Temptations\u00a0on December 4th<\/sup>, back by popular demand.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Reggae fans will want to check out the veteran British outfit UB40 on October 10th<\/sup>, and smooth\u00a0soul crooner Peabo Bryson brings his Xmas show along with a few friends on December 12th<\/sup>.\u00a0Talking of crooners, the wonderful Johnny Mathis Xmas show is a must see on December\u00a018th<\/sup> where he will be singing his classic hits along with his seasonal songs that only he can sing.<\/p>\n Another big attraction coming to Cerritos will be the extremely populat TEN Tenors on\u00a0December 6th<\/sup>. The Australian group have six platinum and gold records and they bring\u00a0their Home for the Holidays Xmas extravaganza to the stage.<\/p>\n Special musicals and shows are not forgotten this season with the always popular Flashdance\u00a0taking over on the weekend of November 6\/7. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer comes in to\u00a0town on November 27\/28 and Mel Brooks The Producers will be there February 12\/13. Ragtime\u00a0closes out the season on the closing weekend of April 1st<\/sup> and 2nd<\/sup> with a whole new touring\u00a0production. One show that stands out for me is the Bollywood Masala Orchestra and the Dancers\u00a0of India bringing their colorful and lively sounds to the stage on October 4th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n The classics get a showcase on February 3rd<\/sup> with a performance of Beethoven\u2019s Kreutzer Sonata\u00a0by violinist Blake Pouliat and Hsin-I-Huang on piano. What also looks interesting to this writer at\u00a0last is happening on February 20th<\/sup> with the legendary Band of the Scots Guards along with the\u00a0Pipes, Drums and Highland Dancers of the Black Watch 3rd<\/sup> Battalion.
