Michael Hepworth<\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n LAS VEGAS (Perfect Music Today) 5\/21\/19\/–<\/b> \u2013 Caesars Entertainment\u2019s team led by Michael Gruber and Jason Gastwirth along with lead producers Carl Stubner and Prem Akkaraju are developing\u00a0Sharp Dressed Man,\u00a0<\/i>a rock musical featuring ZZ Top hits.<\/i>\u00a0The show is expected to open in 2020 in Las Vegas and will include ZZ Top members, Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard, as executive producers.<\/p>\n Sharp Dressed Man<\/i>\u00a0is an outrageous, bawdy musical romp about a Lone Star auto mechanic who becomes a modern-day Robin Hood, stealing hearts \u2014 and car parts \u2014 with the help of his merry band of beer drinkers and hell raisers.\u00a0 Featuring ZZ Top\u2019s most beloved songs including \u201cLegs,\u201d \u201cLa Grange,\u201d \u201cGimme All Your Lovin\u2019\u201d and \u201cCheap Sunglasses,\u201d\u00a0Sharp Dressed Man\u00a0<\/i>is a rock musical with a wicked sense of humor and a heart as big as Texas.<\/p>\n Producing the show with Caesars Entertainment are Carl Stubner, ZZ Top\u2019s longtime manager and executive producer of the documentary \u201cZZ TOP: That Little Ol\u2019 Band from Texas\u201d and Prem Akkaraju, executive producer of \u201cTomorrowland: Ten Years of Unity, Love, Madness and Magic\u201d on MTV and \u201cThe White Tiger\u201d, feature film adaptation of the Man Booker award-winning novel of the same name.<\/p>\n The show\u2019s book is written by Robert Cary and Jonathan Tolins. The duo wrote the teleplays for Fox TV\u2019s Emmy-winning \u201cGrease Live!\u201d as well as \u201cA Christmas Story Live!\u201d Tolins is known for the long-running off-Broadway hit \u201cBuyer & Cellar\u201d for which he won a Lucille Lortel Award. He also wrote the films \u201cThe Twilight of the Golds\u201d and \u201cMartian Child\u201d (written with Seth E. Bass). He is currently a Co-Executive Producer of\u00a0\u201cThe Good Fight\u201d on CBS All Access.
