NHOB – The New House of Blues/Anaheim

Anaheim (Perfectmusictoday.com) 3/6/2017 –This evening began in anticipation of acquiring my George Thorogood ticket for this Wednesday’s show March 8^th at the newly renovated House of Blues in Anaheim. Did you know each House of Blues location erects a four ton water tower that they lower on top of the building? Is it so everyone can find this exquisitely updated venue! President Rod Bension says no House of Blues would be complete without this unique structure! But why, Mr. Bension? I could not find an answer in the company website. This question will hopefully be answered soon for inclusion in my concert review.

The first House of Blues was built in the commercial district of Cambridge, MA on November 26, 1992. The founders of this iconic establishment were one of the creators of the Hard Rock Café Isaac Tigrett and actors John Candy and The Blues Brothers Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. This is why they christen the House of Blues grand openings with some foot stompin’ soul music! In 1995 a TV series was created aptly named, “Live from the House of Blues.” Also, they have their own Music Forward Foundation that helps connecting youth with the “Power of Music.” It is definitely where “Music feeds your Soul.” Just like Don Mclean sings “let that music feed your mortal soul!” Let George and his Destroyers take you into their world of recreating the classics of Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Mack Vickery, etc. boogie woogie “Let’s Get Dirty” style! Don’t forget to bring your tappin’ shoes because it is SRO!
