NAMM 2016 – MEDIA DAY
By Michael Cohan
Anaheim, CA (Perfectmusictoday) 1/20/16—The past and the future of music has reached a pinnacle today during the product showcase at the opening of NAMM 2016. From Tribal Tools the Kadabra incorporates an anatomically perfect piece of ancient shapes into a sleek sculptured design. It is a wireless wooden instrument ergonomically correct with hi-end electronics and smart algorithms.
The Kadabra expands and broadens the delivery of musical expression by combining many up-to-date integrated features into its core construction by creating “the ultimate music station.” The tribe offers three “species” of the instrument. You can visit them at Tribal-tools.com and “discover the magic” at booth #2600(Hall D) and “hear the magic” live at Waves. Inc booth #6620 (Hall A).
THE HALFARC – AN UPDATE ON THE PIANOARC, Brockett Parsons
Anaheim, CA (Perfectmusictoday) 1/20/16—Today in all the Halls of the Anaheim Convention Center there was a pace of nervousness and excitement in anticipation for the opening of NAMM 2016. So I meandered into the Piano Room where the Pianoarc booth was being built. The Pianoarc has become so popular within the industry that it had won the Gold Award from the Edison 2015 show in the entertainment and media category.
I didn’t find the inventor of the Pianoarc Brockett Parsons but did run into the masterminds behind the engineering and CEO of Pianoarc, Dave and Chuck. They remembered me from my interview of them from NAMM 2014 and proceeded to describe the Halfarc.
The Halfarc or Dualcircle are two full pianos in one that incorporates new upgrades so carbon key slipping is minimal creating a higher resolution action and more dynamic time. They have installed mic points for more vibrancy. Furthermore, this can be upgraded to complete the full circle, the Pianoarc. You can visit them at their website Pianoarc.com and see the magic at their booth #391 in the Piano Room and hear the beautiful sound when Brock teams up with two other musicians at Lightwave Systems booth #2683 (Hall D).
